Who is Parking and Transportation Compliance? Is this legal?

Can I dispute a notice after it was issued?

Our invoice includes a method to dispute and appeal the charges within 15 days of receiving the invoice. An appeal decision will be determined by a neutral third-party adjudicator.

Does PTC have the legal right to issue notices?

We do not issue penalties, citations, or parking fines. Instead, PTC issues notices of non-compliance based on the regulations posted on signs throughout a private lot. We work on behalf of the private lot owners.

I paid for parking, why am I getting a notice stating I owe more?

Most lots provide a grace period before any parking charges may be incurred. If your vehicle was parked in the lot for longer than the timeframe you paid for, you will be charged for overstaying. It’s important to remember that this is still unpaid time in the lot and still subject to receiving a notice of non-compliance.

Are notices enforceable?

Yes, they are enforceable. When you fail to pay for parking or over stay, the case will be pursued just like any other contractual agreement.

Who provides the parking regulation signage?

Signs are based on the rules and regulations provided by the private lot owner. Signs are clearly marked and installed throughout the parking lot(s). When a motorist neglects to pay for parking, it can be legally pursued, based on the terms and conditions as explained in the parking lot signage.

What if the car that is referenced is not mine or if I never parked in this area?

We use state-of-the-art License Plate Recognition (LPR) technology to identify vehicles. Please reach out to us to discuss your situation so that we can assist you.

What if I tried paying via the mobile app and it did not work, or the machine onsite was broken?

If you are unable to pay using the onsite machine, via a mobile app, or by phone, it is best to find another parking location until technical issues are resolved. It is the responsibility of the motorist to pay for their parking fees. You’ve likely received a notice of non-compliance in the mail as a result of not paying the day that you parked at one of these locations. PTC is here to assist you with paying for your parking.
